I think some of my favorite cards to make are fall themed ones. I love the colors and how you can incorporate rich colors and the thankful theme. Hence, the cards I created above.
As part of my desire to use up things in my stash, I combined the October 2020 Pink & Main card kit (of course), Falling for You, with an embellishment collection from 28 Lilac Lane called Autumn Afternoon. 28 Lilac Lane has a bevy of embellishment kits for all occasions and with a variety of color combos and are great for having all you might need in one easy-to-use place.
I used patterned paper from the Pink & Main kit, colored card stock from the kit, and the stamp set. I pulled in stencils from the October kit and from the June 2020 card kit called Ocean Waves (sold out). The acorns are by Little B and are discontinued but still available on sale at the link provided. They were included in a Simon Says Stamp kit and I was determined to use them all up. I’m happy to report I did.
I also used the postcard that comes in every Pink & Main kit. I cased a card by Crafty Mama Diaries and fussy cut the sentiment out, adding it to some bright card stock and using a scrap of striped paper for an accent. I included a lot of jute cord because that feels very fall and rustic to me…and I have a fairly large roll I bought at Michaels ages ago and I would like to use up.
Thank you for joining me in this kind of throwback post. See you soon!
