You Are My Sunshine

It’s always sunny on this card.

Another card brought to you by a Pink & Main’s card kit. This time I took the post card included in the kit that lists out the kit contents and coordinating colors and made a card with it. The insert is designed specifically so you can create a quick and easy card and that’s what I did.

I did trim the top and bottom to 5.5″ as the post card is a little longer than a standard A2 sized card. I added some of the included ribbon to the front and following the lead of Michelle, the amazing proprietor of Pink & Main, I tied a knot on it. I used a Zots medium glue dot to attach it to the ribbon and then glued the entire panel to a piece of polka dot paper from the coordinating paper pad. I finished the front with some of the matching enamel dots from the kit and attached it to my card base.

Sunny and bright!

I’m starting to follow the lead of card makers whose designs I love, including Cassie Trask at Cassie Paper Piecings, and Amy Rysavy at Prairie Paper and Ink, and trying to make sure I finish the inside of my cards, too. For this one I chose a sentiment from the stamp set that says, “You Are the Rainbow on My Cloudy Days” and then I stamped the cute sun stamp in Distress Oxide Scattered Straw.

This was such an easy card to make. It really is good to use ALL the supplies card kits provide and Pink & Main kits are so easy to do that with. I can’t say enough things about the Pink & Main kits, they are that good.

I took some time off to take care of a few things and now that August and September are over, I’m getting back into the swing of things. Keep an eye out for some Halloween cards and projects and thank you for joining me!
