Tag! You’re it.

Insert clever tag pun here.

So far the tag project has been fun, but slow going. This is in part because of a lack of time to sit down and focus on Making Things, but also because small tags don’t take as much paper to decorate them! That was a bit of a revelation to me! So I’m using up paper, but not as much as I would if I were just straight up making cards. In order to move the Use Up part of this project along, I may make a few greeting cards if and when the mood strikes. For now, however, I’m proceeding with the tags.

As of now, I only have two of the Recollections Kraft Creative Tags left. I had made a couple of uncategorized tags that could be used for birthdays or just random gift giving (not pictured) before I switched to focusing on holiday gift tags. I will finish up those two tags and then I plan on cutting out a bunch of tags with my Pink & Main tag dies. I figure it will be easy to matte those tags because I can cut the base out and then the paper in the same size and glue one to the other. Easy!

You’ll see a couple of the tags are made with the Snow & Cocoa ephemera I have. I find when I get bored at looking at red and black and tan and green, my creativity is freshened up a little when I switch collections. I love the collage style of those tags and the unconventional colors. I have used a bunch of sentiments stamps from the stamp sets I pulled out and I’ve been enjoying coming up with ways to make the sentiments work on the tags.

I kind of feel like I need to power through this, but I also feel like I’m making progress and working on such a small scale reminds of when I first started card making and I thought 4.25″ x 5.5″ was so small! These are small canvasses but you can do a lot in a small space and I think you can see that in the designs I’ve come up with.

See you soon!
