June Stash Bash: Week 1 Part 2

No sketches here.

It was really easy for me to find inspiration to work with the Doodlebug Cream & Sugar paper and card stock stickers, so the first cards came together quickly and without a lot of stress. I did pull in two card sketches to try out some things I had pinned to my Pinterest card making board, but for the most part I found inspiration in what was in front of me.

I used up all the Queen & Company Stick-Ems, except the With Sympathy sentiment because it felt weird to use sparkly purple glitter and cutesy paper for a sympathy card. I doubt I’ll ever get through all the glitter (to see the whole list of what I pulled for June, see this post). For some reason, I’m being timid about using the stickers, although I’m getting over the trepidation, as you can see from the Feel Better Quick card, where I used a lot of the heart stickers that came on the sheet.

Side note: Does the sentiment Feel Better Quick sound as weird to anyone else as it does to me? It’s like they took Get Well Soon and said, “How can we make it more urgent and more like a command?”

Super sketchy

I pulled in two sketches for these cards and really had fun putting them together, so I will definitely continue finding things on my Pinterest board to try out. I’m also uploading photos to the pins to show that I tried it. The photos below give information on which sketches I used.

I am finding that as I am thinking more about what I already have, my attraction to new and shiny is less. Part of that may be because I’m currently trying to organize my crafting/work space because it’s out of control right now, and part of it may be because I want to use what I have. I bought all of my stash for a reason, and I don’t want to just look at it. I want to use it.

I’ll keep working on Stash Bash cards, but there will be other projects coming up. Thank you for stopping by!
