June Stash Bash: Week 1 Part 1

I just have to get it out there. I hate glitter. I have tried to like glitter, I’ve made an effort to see the good in glitter, but I can’t. So when I set for myself the challenge of using the Queen & Company Stick-Ems sentiments and glitter, I knew I had to be patient with the process.

Two. It took me pouring fine purple glitter on two sentiments before I decided I’d had enough. That’s not to say I don’t like the way the sentiments look, because they look lovely. But I had glitter dust everywhere. Stuck to me, scattered all over my desk, all over the floor, on my clothes. I was trying to be very careful and it wasn’t working.

And here’s where the being forgiving comes into the picture. I had an aha moment remembering all the foil I’ve received in kits that sits relatively unused because I haven’t got the swing of it. So I pulled out some foil and tried it out and, folks…

I hated it more. So back to the glitter I went. Remember, when you’re being kind to yourself while crafting, it means you can try things out and if they are not successful or are huge, ugly fails that you hate so much, it’s completely all right to move on.
