During this stay-at-home time of life, YouTube videos have been my constant companions. As we all know, you start watching one video, which more often than not leads you down a rabbit hole, frequently ending in disturbing videos of someone setting their craft supplies on fire and oh my gosh, the horror!
Or, instead, you end up watching Stash Bash/Stash Busting/Use What’s In Your Stash videos and are inspired to get some things used up. I’ve been watching Grace Tolman’s 10 Homemade Cards 1 Homemade Kit videos for a few months and I love how she goes through her stash of supplies and pulls together a cohesive kit with the goal of using up as many things as possible. And despite the fact that I don’t really scrapbook anymore, I have watched a few videos of scrapbookers putting together layout kits from things they already have.
All this to say, I was inspired to clear out some things that have been hanging out for a long time in my various drawers and folders and hidey-holes. There is a 100% chance that most of the stuff I’m using is no longer available, but I’ll link if it’s still out there…somewhere.

The first photo is of some of the supplies I’ll use.
- Well, Hello 6×6 paper pad by My Mind’s Eye. Purchased at Tuesday Morning, 9 full sheets of double-sided paper left, one piece with a quarter inch cut off. No longer available.
- Paper Accents A2 cards and envelopes in Light Blue, Lime Green, and Green Parrot. I have quite a few of these, so there’s a chance I won’t get through all of them. I do hope to use up the Light Blue and Lime Green as I only have about five total of those two colors.

The second batch of supplies.
- Becky Higgins Project Life Hi, Sunshine pocket pages kit. I’ll be honest, I’m surprised I was able to find this still. I’ve had these cards for a long time. I have a LOT of them and don’t think I’ll get through all of them, but the goal is to make a dent.
- Rub-on sentiments from the Sizzix Texture Boutique Starter Kit. This was the first card-making machine I ever bought. I have used exactly one of the rub-on sentiments included with the kit. I figured it’s time to set them free. Comes with popsicle stick for ease of transfer.

And finally, supply list number 3 with more sentiments.
- Amy Tangerine Rubber Words. I can’t find the actual product or anything similar. To be honest, I can’t really remember where I got them. But time to use them and give them meaning.
- Doodlebug Latte Love Shape Sprinkles. Currently out of stock at Simon Says Stamp. These came in an SSS card kit a few years ago. I used a bunch of them and have been holding on to the rest until the “right time.” Right now is the right time.
- Recollections Scrapbook Kit. For a hot minute in 2016, maybe, Recollections was making these little kits that included paper frames, letters, photo corners, and journaling cards in bright fun colors. I bought a pack, thinking I’d try them out and if I liked them, get more. I liked them. I went back and they were nowhere to be seen. I wonder sometimes if we were a test market for them. Studio G makes something incredibly similar. I have a few of the alphabet dots left over and I would like to use them as best as I can.
- K&Company Adhesive Border Strips. I am 100% sure I got this at a craft supply swap I organized years ago, thinking I’d use them in scrapbooking. I never did, so now I’m going to try them out on cards.
That’s it! I’m going to make as many cards as I can and see where it takes me. I’ll post my projects when I finish. I can’t tell you how long it will take. There will be other posts between this one and the finished cards, so join me through this journey!
